Placement & Care

Flower Anemones generally prefer the lower areas of the aquarium, where they can attach their foot securely within rock crevices or near the rock and sand interface.

Provide gentle to moderate, indirect water movement. Excessive flow may cause the anemone to remain contracted or move around the aquarium in search of a more suitable location.

Flower Anemones receive much of their energy through photosynthesis but can benefit from occasional feedings of appropriately sized meaty foods such as mysis shrimp.

As with other anemones, give them adequate space from neighboring corals because their tentacles can sting nearby livestock.
