Placement & Care

The Ultra Rainbow Welso is best placed directly on a soft sand bed with plenty of room for its fleshy tissue to fully expand. Avoid placing it against sharp rockwork, where its tissue can become irritated or damaged.

Provide gentle, indirect water flow that keeps the coral clean without causing its tissue to whip or remain contracted. Low to moderate reef lighting is generally preferred, and new specimens should be gradually acclimated to brighter lighting.

Although photosynthetic, Welsos can benefit from occasional target feeding with appropriately sized meaty foods such as mysis shrimp and other quality LPS coral foods.
