Toxic Green Frogspawn (Fimbriaphyllia divisa)

The Toxic Green Frogspawn is a vibrant LPS coral known for its intense fluorescent green coloration, flowing tentacles, and distinctive multi-tipped polyps. Under blue-heavy reef lighting, its bright green coloration creates an unmistakable glow that stands out beautifully against darker rockwork and contrasting corals.

As the coral settles in and fully extends, its fleshy polyps create the soft, flowing movement Frogspawn Corals are known for, making it an excellent choice for adding both color and motion to a mixed reef aquarium.

Placement & Flow

Provide gentle to moderate, indirect flow that allows the polyps to sway naturally without being whipped around or pushed against the skeleton. Give your Frogspawn several inches of space from neighboring corals to accommodate its full expansion and potential sweeper tentacles.

Lighting

Toxic Green Frogspawn generally performs best under low to moderate reef lighting. Gradual light acclimation is recommended when introducing the coral to a new aquarium, particularly when moving it into an area with stronger PAR.

Feeding

Frogspawn receives much of its nutritional needs through photosynthesis and does not require frequent direct feeding. Occasional offerings of small LPS pellets, mysis, or appropriately sized meaty foods can help support healthy growth.
