Neon Green Octospawn (Fimbriaphyllia paradivisa)

The Neon Green Octospawn is a vibrant LPS coral known for its intensely fluorescent green coloration and dense, flowing multi-tipped tentacles. Under blue-heavy reef lighting, its neon green polyps create an incredible glow while adding constant movement and texture to the aquarium.

Octospawn gets its name from the numerous rounded tips found along each fleshy tentacle, giving it a fuller and more textured appearance than traditional Frogspawn. When fully extended, a healthy colony can become an impressive centerpiece in an LPS or mixed reef display.

Placement & Flow

Provide gentle to moderate, indirect flow that allows the tentacles to sway naturally without being whipped around or pushed against the skeleton. Give the coral several inches of space from neighboring corals to accommodate its expansion and potential sweeper tentacles.

Lighting

Neon Green Octospawn generally performs best under low to moderate reef lighting. Gradual light acclimation is recommended when introducing it to a new aquarium, particularly when placing it under stronger lighting.

Feeding

Octospawn receives much of its nutritional needs through photosynthesis and does not require frequent direct feeding. Occasional offerings of small LPS pellets, mysis, or other appropriately sized meaty foods can help support healthy growth.
