MicroBacter Clean - 250 ml

Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Clean is a blend of non-pathogenic beneficial microorganisms and natural enzymes formulated to clean live rock, aquarium decorations and other submerged surfaces.

The formula establishes bacterial colonies that digest uneaten food, waste, detritus and other organic material. It also loosens unwanted coatings, making them easier to remove through scraping and vacuuming.

Clumps, an earthy odor and temporary aquarium cloudiness are normal and result from the bacterial culture. Shake the bottle thoroughly immediately before every use.

Shake well immediately before every use.

Before adding:
Mix the required dose with 250 ml (approximately 8 fl. oz.) of aquarium water in a clean container.

Normal cleaning and maintenance:
Add 20 ml (4 capfuls) per 25 US gallons (94.6 L) once weekly. This is approximately 16 drops per US gallon.

Problem aquariums or accelerated cleaning:
On the first day, add 30 ml (6 capfuls) per 25 US gallons (94.6 L). This is approximately 24 drops per US gallon.

After the initial dose, add 5 ml (1 capful) per 25 US gallons daily for two weeks or longer, as necessary, until the desired results are achieved.

Turn off protein skimming and UV sterilization for four hours after each dose. Do not add the product to a pump intake.

Continue regular aquarium maintenance, including vacuuming, using purified replacement water and limiting unnecessary nutrient additions.

When using with Razor Marine, add MicroBacter Clean first and wait several hours before adding Razor Marine.

No permanent installation is required.

1. Calculate the aquarium’s actual total water volume.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
3. Measure the correct dose for the aquarium’s condition.
4. Mix the dose with 250 ml of aquarium water in a clean container.
5. Add the mixture to the aquarium or external biological filtration system.
6. Do not pour it into a pump intake.
7. Turn off protein skimming and UV sterilization for four hours after dosing.

The product works particularly well with Brightwell Xport biological filtration media.

Refrigeration is not required.

Store in a cool, shaded area away from heat. Refrigeration at approximately 50°F (10°C) can prolong bacterial activity and maximize shelf life.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.

Prevent contamination of the bottle. If using a pipette below the water level, clean it thoroughly with fresh water before returning it to the product bottle.

Clumps have formed inside the bottle:
This is normal for the bacterial culture. Shake the bottle thoroughly immediately before use.

The product or aquarium smells earthy:
An earthy or unusual odor can occur because of the bacteria and is considered normal by the manufacturer.

Aquarium water becomes cloudy:
Temporary cloudiness may occur after dosing and can remain for several hours. Follow the recommended dosage and allow time for the water to clear.

Results are slower than expected:
Beneficial bacteria work gradually. Long-neglected aquariums may require 8–10 weeks to show full results. Continue proper dosing and routine maintenance.

Unwanted coatings remain attached:
MicroBacter Clean loosens accumulations but does not replace physical maintenance. Scrape affected surfaces and vacuum loosened material as necessary.

The bottle may have been contaminated:
Never return an unclean pipette or dosing tube to the bottle after it has contacted aquarium water. Use clean equipment to prevent contamination.

The product was exposed to heat:
Heat can reduce bacterial activity. Store the bottle in a cool, shaded location or refrigerate it at approximately 50°F.

What is MicroBacter Clean used for?
