Premium Color-Indicating Mixed Bed DI Resin is a nuclear-grade ion-exchange resin formulated to remove dissolved ionic contaminants remaining after reverse-osmosis filtration.

The blue indicator provides a visual indication of resin exhaustion. Monitor both the colour and the RO/DI system’s output with a properly calibrated TDS meter. Replace the resin when the colour-change zone reaches the outlet end of the cartridge or when product-water TDS begins to rise.

1. Shut off the RO/DI system and release pressure from the filter housing.
2. Remove the refillable DI cartridge from its housing.
3. Open the cartridge and discard the exhausted resin responsibly.
4. Rinse and dry the reusable cartridge components as recommended by their manufacturer.
5. Pour the new resin into the cartridge gradually.
6. Tap the cartridge gently against a firm surface while filling to settle the resin and eliminate air pockets.
7. Fill the cartridge completely and pack the resin tightly to prevent water from forming channels through the media.
8. Reinstall the foam pad, cap or retaining components.
9. Return the cartridge to the housing in the correct flow direction.
10. Restore the water supply slowly, check for leaks and flush the new resin before collecting product water.
11. Verify the final water quality with a TDS meter.

Install the packed refillable cartridge as the final filtration stage after the RO membrane and any other specialized DI stages used by the system.

Pack the resin tightly and evenly. Loose resin or empty spaces can allow channeling, causing water to bypass portions of the media and reducing its effective capacity.

Follow the cartridge and RO/DI system manufacturers’ instructions for flow direction, flushing and housing installation.

Store the unopened bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and freezing conditions. Keep the package sealed until needed.

After opening, transfer any unused resin immediately to a clean, airtight container. Do not allow the resin to dry out or remain exposed to air for extended periods.

Product-water TDS is above zero immediately after installation:
Confirm that the cartridge is completely filled and tightly packed. Check for channeling, incorrect flow direction, cartridge bypass or an improperly seated housing.

Resin exhausts unusually quickly:
High RO-membrane output TDS, elevated carbon dioxide, poor membrane rejection or high water usage can shorten resin life. Test the water entering the DI stage and inspect the RO membrane’s rejection rate.

Colour changes unevenly:
Some variation is normal, but a narrow or irregular exhaustion path can indicate channeling. Repack the resin tightly and confirm that the cartridge is installed vertically with the correct flow direction.

TDS rises before the entire cartridge changes colour:
Use the TDS reading as the primary replacement indicator. The colour indicator is a visual guide and may not change uniformly under every water condition.

Resin shifts or settles after installation:
The cartridge was not packed tightly enough. Shut off the system, add or repack resin and remove all open spaces.

Stored resin has dried out:
Do not rely on dried or improperly stored resin for critical high-purity applications. Replace it with fresh, properly sealed resin.
