Placement & Flow

Place OrangeRed Montipora where it receives strong, variable water movement and consistent circulation. Turbulent flow is preferable to a constant directional stream, helping keep the coral's surface free of debris while supporting gas and nutrient exchange.

Allow adequate space around the coral for continued growth. Montipora are generally peaceful and do not typically use long sweeper tentacles, but neighboring corals should still be kept from direct contact as the colony expands.

Stable water chemistry is particularly important for SPS corals. Consistent alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, temperature, and appropriate nutrient levels will help support healthy skeletal growth and coloration.

Lighting
