Brightwell Aquatics CoralAmino is a complex of free-form amino acids formulated in ratios that approximate those found in the tissues of many stony coral species.

Because the amino acids are supplied in free form rather than bound within a complex food, they are readily available for assimilation. They provide nutritional building blocks that support the formation of new tissue, repair following fragmentation and propagation, growth by budding or fission, and vibrant coloration.

Before feeding:
Turn off the protein skimmer and other mechanical filtration. Resume filtration 10–15 minutes after feeding.

Target feeding — recommended:
1. Pour 1 ml, approximately 20 drops, into a small clean container.
2. Draw a portion into a suitable feeding device.
3. Slowly dispense the product 2–4 inches upstream of the target coral.
4. Repeat as needed according to coral population and nutritional demand.

Broadcast feeding:
Add 1 ml, approximately 20 drops, per 50 US gallons of aquarium water daily in an area of rapid water movement.

Maximum introductory dosage:
Do not exceed 5 ml of CoralAmino or total Brightwell liquid foods per 50 US gallons daily during the first few weeks.

After the introductory period, dosage may be increased gradually according to livestock density and observed nutritional requirements. Avoid excessive nutrient input and maintain effective protein skimming and filtration.

CoralAmino may also be added to coral food mixtures or used to fortify other aquarium foods.

No permanent installation is required.

For manual feeding:
1. Calculate the aquarium’s actual total water volume.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
3. Turn off protein skimming and mechanical filtration.
4. Measure the required amount into a clean container.
5. Target-feed or add the product in an area of rapid water movement.
6. Resume filtration after 10–15 minutes.

For automatic dosing:
Use CoralAmino at full strength. Diluting it can weaken the preservative system and allow the product to spoil.

Clean the dosing reservoir and tubing approximately once per week to prevent bacterial buildup. Monitor the solution for foul odors and discontinue use from the dosing container if spoilage is suspected.

Store in a cool, dry location between 34°F and 80°F (approximately 1°C–27°C).

Refrigeration is not required, but it can significantly extend the product’s shelf life. Freezing will not damage the product, but repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided.

Do not place the supplied dropper directly into aquarium water or allow aquarium water to enter the bottle. Contamination can cause the product to decompose.

If aquarium water contacts the dropper, clean the glass tube with hot water and soap or disinfect it with hydrogen peroxide. Refrigerate the product until it has been completely used.

Nutrients increase after feeding:
Reduce the dosage and review the total amount of liquid and dried foods being added. Maintain effective protein skimming and mechanical filtration.

Corals do not appear to respond:
Confirm that water chemistry, lighting and flow meet the needs of the corals. Nutritional supplements cannot compensate for unsuitable environmental conditions.

The product develops a foul odor:
The product may be decomposing because of contamination or dilution. Discontinue using the affected solution. Never return a contaminated dropper to the bottle.

Aquarium water entered the bottle:
Clean and disinfect the dropper, then refrigerate the product until it has been completely used.

An automatic dosing solution spoils:
Use CoralAmino at full strength rather than diluting it. Clean the reservoir and dosing lines approximately once per week.

Corals are recovering from fresh frag cuts:
CoralAmino supports tissue formation. Brightwell also recommends Restor for damaged tissue, but it should be used at a different time of day.

Water becomes unusually nutrient-rich:
Reduce CoralAmino and other food additions. The introductory maximum applies to the combined amount of Brightwell liquid foods, not just CoralAmino.
